Places of Worship Security Training is a 10-day (80-hour) course meticulously designed to meet the CISA guidelines for Places of Worship security force training. Your security team members will learn how to prevent violence, respond to emergencies, and follow security laws to keep your place of worship secure.

 

Places of Worship Security Training covers:

  • Security Fundamentals

    Understand the basics of physical and cybersecurity specifically tailored to places of worship.

  • Unarmed & Armed Security Skills

    Training includes both Class D & G licensing requirements, with practical firearms training and conflict resolution.

  • Surveillance and Technology

    Utilize the latest in surveillance and cybersecurity to protect your community.

  • Incident Response and Reunification

    Prepare for and manage incidents with comprehensive response plans and reunification procedures.

  • Risk Assessment & Security Planning

    Learn to conduct thorough risk assessments using specialized tools and develop robust security plans.

  • Advanced Conflict Management

    Navigate complex situations with advanced conflict management training tailored for faith-based environments.

  • Coordination with Law Enforcement

    Learn to effectively collaborate with local law enforcement for enhanced security.

  • Legal and Ethical Conduct

    Understand the legal aspects and ethical conduct required for security personnel in religious settings.

To attend NRA Law Enforcement Continuing Education, you must meet the following:

Student Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age & a U.S. citizen or legal resident
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
  • Complete a liability waiver before the start of the class
  • Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Bring another form of government-issued ID
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Also, choose pants or shorts with belt loops. Avoid sandals or open-toed shoes.

Firearm & Gear Requirements

  • Semi-auto Pistol (9MM)
  • 400 rounds of ammunition
  • Level 2 Outside the Waistband Holster
  • (3) Magazines
  • Magazine Holster that’s capable of holding 2 magazines.
  • A Sturdy Belt (able to hold up the weight of your gear)
  • Eye & Ear Protection
