CRASE based
CRASE stands for Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events. It’s a training program designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to survive an active shooter situation. The program is based on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy.
Threat Assessment
We’ll spot your building’s weak spots find the fastest and safest ways out. This is based on threats and your building’s layout. We’ll look for places an attacker might target. Then, plan methods of containing the threat.
Effective Communication
Active Shooter Response you’ll learn to share important details during an active shooter situation. This includes the shooter’s location, escape routes, and any medical needs to help everyone respond quickly. You’ll also learn to provide key information to emergency responders.
Stress Management
Active Shooter Response will teach your team to remain calm and act effectively under pressure during active shooter situations. You’ll learn to manage stress, regulate your heart rate and breathing, and note key details about the shooter. This helps law enforcement act quickly.
