Meet five of our Florida firearms instructors: Herfel “Boots” Torres (Chief Operating Officer and master law enforcement firearms instructor); Okan Dikiz (Chief Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor); Domingo “Mr. Sunday” Perez (attorney and law enforcement firearms education specialist); Axel “DOC” Narvaez (tactical instructor); and Garret “Machine” (tactical law enforcement instructor). Specific credentials and teaching assignments vary by instructor and course.
The Valortec Difference
What distinguishes Valortec’s firearms training across Central Florida is our Defensive Armed Response Training (D.A.R.T.) system—a structured training pathway developed for responsible civilian firearm owners. Unlike standard range experiences that focus on stationary targets in ideal conditions, D.A.R.T. acknowledges that real defensive encounters happen in imperfect environments—often in low light, under extreme stress, and without backup.

Our Training Philosophy
At Valortec, we believe effective self-defense courses require more than just teaching you to hit targets. Our Florida instructors focus on developing both technical proficiency and critical decision-making skills. Whether you’re pursuing concealed carry classes or advanced tactical firearms instruction, we emphasize responsible ownership, legal awareness, and the mental preparedness essential for real-world protection.
Safety First
Safety isn’t just a procedure at Valortec—it’s our foundation. Every firearms training class in Florida adheres to strict safety protocols that exceed industry standards. Our instructors maintain vigilant oversight while creating a supportive learning environment where questions are encouraged and skills develop naturally.
