The agency challenge

Annual requalification is predictable. Managing it should be, too.

Florida Class G license holders must complete prescribed four-hour annual training and the applicable firearms qualification with an authorized Class K instructor. For employers, coordinating deadlines, shift coverage, registration and documentation can consume valuable operations time.

Valortec helps organize that work while the employing agency and individual licensees retain their own legal responsibilities. Course attendance does not guarantee a passing qualification or valid license.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions from security agencies.

Can our security agency sponsor employee Class G requalification?

Yes. Valortec’s agency programs permit employer-sponsored bookings and employer billing. Each participant must satisfy the training eligibility and qualification requirements.

Does a six-seat block provide a private training class?

No. Agency Reserve secures a block within an available shared class. Valortec’s standard minimum is eight paying students across all bookings. Dedicated classes require separate approval and pricing.

How long is the annual Class G requalification?

Florida requires four hours of annual training, with applicable successful firearm qualification under an authorized Class K firearms instructor. Additional firearm type and caliber requirements may apply.

Does participation guarantee a passing score or a valid license?

No. Valortec does not guarantee qualification outcomes, individual license status, armed-duty eligibility or fulfillment of an employer’s statutory responsibilities.

Are classes available in North Port and Lakeland?

North Port has published Class G class dates. Lakeland Class G sessions require confirmation of instructor, venue and scheduling before booking.

Are remedial instruction and other firearm calibers included?

Not automatically. Any additional training or qualification requirement must be reviewed separately and may involve additional fees.
